In the Heat of the Summer

Posted by Gail Moriarty on

Full-blown summer here in New Hampshire.   We are working.  Yep we are.  And we are open.

Our hallways are narrow, and so we need to control the number of people in the building at one time - social distancing.  Oh and, once you're inside, Masks are Mandatory for the safety of us all the whole time you're here.  Don't worry, we have them on too.

Our shops are open.  We have notices posted on both entrances stating the phone numbers to call to come inside.  We are happy to let you in!

You may notice lots of activity and flurry beginning this week.  We are preparing for our much loved Nashua International Sculpture Symposium that's happening right here in our building beginning August 20 and will run through September 12.

Lots of changes this year, but the core of our Symposium is art, creating amazing sculptural art for our City.  And so, we will be doing what we do best, creating art.  Not only the 12 artists who call The Picker home, but our three visiting sculptors and of course, our Artistic Director Jim.

We need support - sculpture sponsorships, meals, worksite monitoring.

We also would love to see you!  Bring your mask, and come on by to visit with the sculptors often during the three weeks.

So, stay tuned and stay safe for us all!

Cheers!
