Winter into Spring...
We were just talking the other day about the fact that this time of year, we are all just about ready to put the shovels away and bring out the potting soil. Wouldn't it be nice to go to the store and pick out some little flowers, or strawberry and tomato plants? It's coming...
But for now, we are hunkered down inside our beautiful mill building, creating and creating and creating... Come on by and see what we are working on. Sometimes picking up a piece is still the best way to shop. So you are welcome to come inside. We have hand sanitizers beside each entrance and welcome you (and your mask) to come in and look around. Note that City Ordinance states you must wear a mask at all times within our building (and we will too).
You can, of course, shop online here, and either come in to pick up your order, or call us and we will bring it out to you, or we will ship it for you, as always.
Shop local and shop handmade here with The Picker Artists!
You're the reason we are here, and we appreciate your business more than we can say!
Paper is one of the strongest, long-lived, flexible, and most beautiful mediums with which to do art.
I love using papers from all over the world to create art.
My work is found inside my studio as well as on the walls in the hallway.
My photo restoration service allows me to return nearly any photo that has somehow been damaged.
I can also “improve” an image, upon request (whiten teeth, remove skin blemishes, and more).
Tell me what you’d like and I’ll let you know if it can be done.

Each ecoprint is guided by my hand and vision, mindful toward color, contrast, form and balance, but the image takes on a life of its own. It is a process requiring both intention and surrender.
While it is beautiful in itself to make a very direct print, immediately recognizable as the plant from which it was created, I often find joy in choosing to work less literally. I challenge myself to use the plants as my “palette” of color and texture, to create visually vibrant images that are compelling in themselves. The finished ecoprints often appear as landscapes to me, evoking a sense of time and place, each image embodying a moment.
